It was a warm day inside of the forest. The radiant light from the sun beamed down into a circular clearing made within a bright green pine grove. There were many groves and varied environments within this forest all catering to different life. Inside of the clearing on a bed of bright yellow dandelions laid two sleeping wood dogs. They were medium sized with a multiple hued body of scaly bark in various browns ranging from deep to light and a little mossy green around their paws. They had knots for eyes and cones for ears, one with a golden yellow thread tied around its neck and the other a dark brown.
The golden threaded one arose from its nap and yawned tiredly, she roused the brown threaded one by gently nuzzling her cheek. The two swiftly darted into the grove surrounding them and quickly acclimated to the limited sun due to the almost full coverage of shade all around them. Light would seep through cracks in the foliage and beam down onto the ground in isolated spots. Arisen from slumber their need to refuel their bodies grew, they ran playfully intertwining their paths through the abundant trees with each other in balanced synchronicity. the soft soil beneath their paws filled them both with a joy uniquely experienced among these grounds and they speed through the area to reach the lake at the other end. Once there they open their jaws with jagged bark for teeth and began eating a little bit of the wet shore dirt, small bits at a time to gather nutrients.
The golden one's eyes narrowed to a scene over to the left side of them where they saw something begin to emerge out of the water. It was a shimmery, wavy rooster! It had a body of light blue water you could almost see clearly through. It was solid and did not drip its body along the ground, although it made wet footprints wherever it walked. It was odd, the two have been here dozens of times but never have they seen him before! It was staring off into a path away from the dogs, looking for something, when a little flickering red light emerged off in the distance, from a rocky path that leads toward an area of recently decimated blue ball forget me not flowers. It's still unknown why they were all destroyed, gold and brown always kept to themselves, together. They cocked their heads quizzically as the little light inched closer.
edit: intended to have more, but lost my desire to continue.
